Just wanted to thank the staff at Bazz ( including the kitchen ) for another perfect meal!Went there in the fall for a 60th wedding anniversary and again last weekend for a Fathers Day, and everything was delicious. BYOW , outdoor patio in the back garden, freindly servers and GREAT food.Looking forward to my next visit :)
Was there with friends yesterday expecting what I use to get from this little BYOW but did not know the the Bazz is now manage by a different owner. We sat there for 4h30 for 2-3 courses meal (most went for "à la carte"). The food was terrible and the server acted surprised and insisted that we had the most popular dish. They tried to redeem themselves by bringing a cheese plater (which was excellent). Bottom line: $50 pp later for a little cheese and great wine... we brought it!
Nice little cozy house-looking restaurant in the old Saint-Lambert. The service was very friendly and mentioned to us that they had recently changed the menu due to a change of cook. It was our first time there so we couldn't compare but we both tried 4 tapas each, and dessert. To be fair, the main dishes looked very nice too.First try was the tartar which I absolutely loved -- I'm not too crazy about standard arrangement of tartar with lots of onions -- and this one was the opposite -- it had a blend of sweet (with apples) and salty and was great. My wife had the crabcake which was good (but my dish better :)). Second try was the cesar with chicken. It was a rather unusual arrangement with a chicken leg, but otherwise good.3rd was a special Mac'n'cheese which would have been great if the sauce had been less salty. And last, I had the pulled pork mini-burgers that were good, if only that the bread was too big for the quantity of meat.We both had chocolate dessert -- good except the explanations we had received was that it contained a brownie which wasn't the case, the team has to learn the new menu properly. But overall, a nice experience and bring your own wine is always appreciated. Plate presentation was well done and tasted good. Main drawback would be that the tapas list is rather small, about 10 items, so you can go through them fast when you have to order 4+ per person
