Great beer, friendly staff, $10 Tommys margaritas every now and then, love it. Wouldn't recommend it on a Sunday unless you are young and fun and not old and bitter like me because I cbf dealing with mosh pits, but during the week it's boss for sure

Needed some bites washed down with some cold drinks after a long day and stumbled into el grotto... lucky for us! The guac is delicious, the tacos are scrumptious, although the cauliflower one can be given a wide berth, the ribs are small for the serve but big on flavour and won't disappoint! Onto the tostadas... I'm not even gonna describe it... just order it!...and lastly the char grilled prawns, hooley Dooley, these bad boys are a winner. All of this was washed down with a black currant margarita, a traditional margarita, and a spiced up Mexican Dos Equis XX beer. Do your taste buds a flavour and get down to this place. We were there late afternoon and it was quiet and not over run with the trendy set! Perfect ???????? AA++ WILL COME AGAIN FOR SURE

I came here on a Friday. Grabbed a guacamole and chips $5, for such a generous serving and scrumptiousness it was a steal! $10 margaritas on Friday was awesome. They were good cocktails, balanced well. We got complimentary popcorn with an avocado/chilli oil which was delicious (it may have been coz of the 15min wait for food, we didn't mind anyway). Had some tacos octopus and fish, quite good, balanced well with the cabbage/salad and sauce. It was the right balance not to overpower the taste of the seafood. Service wise it was great! The two girls were really attentive and friendly. I saw a negative review earlier and I think I know exactly the server he was talking about. There was a male bartender who cbf was written all over his face and the way dismissively dealt with us, if you don't wanna deal with people get another job. Apart from him (who we avoided ordering from afterwards) the service was superb. Cool vibe, beautiful sunset, good cocktails, delicious food. Try it!!!
