My son, husband, and I went for a treat during load shedding. The gent who first seated us and took our order made a fantastic impression with his menu knowledge and service style. He then said he cannot take our table as he is a manager. We were also warned of an hour plus wait for any sushi items as it was half price sushi night. It took 25minutes for x2 milkshakes and a soda. In the meantime, my son went to play in their kids ' area. None of the game consoles worked due to loadshedding but once the power came on, they still did not work. Also, there was no change R5 coins available to use on their machines in said play area. Could tokens maybe work instead? We settled on a seafood platter and a sushi platter. (Please note the fryers don 't work during L Shedding so items are grilled) We cleared our own dishes off the table eventually to make space for the sushi accompaniments arriving. Our waiters seemed to not notice the lack of serving space nor used items pile to the side. 95minutes since arrival, our sushi arrived. 15pieces in total. Staff members said there is always a wait on Sushi night. My suggestion would be to add a staff member (waitron trainee deep fryer) to assist the chef on special nights to prevent such a back log. The table behind us canceled their order after an hour and left. The restaurant was around 30% full 50pax. Who is the popcorn for? We watched as a table of 1 was served this. Not sure if it 's for sale and if so, please put a price up. We will give this restaurant another try when there is No special and will update this review if there is an overall improvement in service. Kid-friendliness: The game machines did not work and you need R5coins to use the other machine Parking: Sifiso is usually on hand at night to watch your vehicle. I had a terrible experience at John Dory's this morning. We ordered breakfast and had a cockroach crawl out of the toast stack. Needless to say, we left immediately. It's sad because that spot has been a long time favorite whenever I'm in Scottburgh, from the days when it was a Wimpy. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Food was excellent and the service pleasant and prompt.. So great overall. Price per person: R 100–150 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Hake and Prawns
