Our server was polite, but she didn't go out of her way to be friendly; she simply took our order and brought our food. She seemed to enjoy smiling, but it wasn't very noticeable. The food was delicious overall, although both my dish and my friend's chicken had quite a bit of cartilage. We ended up with messy plates. When we mentioned this to the server, both dishes were removed from our bill. I'd definitely go back; we had a good time.
The happy hour tacos are a must-try, and the Brussels sprouts are absolutely divine!
It wasn't very busy this morning, but I can imagine that with a larger crowd, the noise level could rise due to the hard surfaces. The menu offered many delicious options, making it tough to decide what to order. We ended up choosing the breakfast burrito with chorizo and the migas, which are scrambled eggs with roasted vegetables, black beans, avocado, and pico de gallo served on top of tostadas. Both dishes were fantastic, and the beautiful bowl that my migas came in added to the presentation. The service was excellent; our waitress was friendly and didn't rush us, which felt like a nice change from the typical American dining experience. Some might see the slower pace as a drawback, but it really comes down to personal preference. I would recommend this place to everyone and can’t wait to return to try more dishes!
I enjoy every trip to hecho. it is beautifully decorated and offers an authentic atmosphere. the personal is friendly and checked at reasonable intervals. the drinks from the bar menu are fantastic with plenty of tequila and Mezcal offers. eating is the true star of experience. the tacos are street style and have several filing toppings. I typically command the feed or larger part of the menu. whether it is a seafood stew, a searettich, chile cut rock steak, or pollen, they will be satisfied.
We took advantage of the $3 happy hour tacos, so very affordable. We were there on a Sunday evening, so there were only a few other tables taken. We had no trouble visiting, but I'm not sure that would be the case if the restaurant were full. The food reminded me of food we've eaten in Mexico, especially the housemade chips, guacamole, and salsa. A little more spicy than I anticipated, but not too much so.
