Port Hole Cafe - Ship Bottom

My grandparents had their very first date here. Many many years ago. We live on 13th Street Ship Bottom and have been coming since I was a baby. I was born in 76 so you can imagine how long this place has been there.

Went for a cold drink after spending the day being a tourist in the heat. Didn't have anything to eat, but regret my decision. Wish I would have had the Roast Beef Sandwich that this place is known for. Although, had an ICE COLD pint of Rolling Rock that was the highlight of the day. Not too many places that have on tap. ROLLING ROCK is very underrated and is a perfect choice for the summer. Liverwurst Onions would of been my 2nd choice. Next time I'll order 1 of each.

My great aunt used to take me here in the 80s and 90s. Still love coming back here. Great food, great people

Be warned if you visit this place when busy and walk in nobody will come take your name or talk to you about how many people are waiting for seats. When you go to grab an empty table the old haggard waitresses will come yell at you that somebody else was waiting when they never even acknowledged you as a human in the first place. Pretty sad because the food is delicious just needs an update in the wait list for the place. Been an LBI local for years and have eaten here many times take my advice don’t go when busy you’ll get treated like a mannequin

Cash only, food was great.. but establishment was understaffed. Waitress was a tornado, amazing how she seemed to keep moving and make her rounds. It's worth the stop.
