Texas 1809 - Slaton

My favorite daytime server is Lisa! She's very professional, courteous and helpful to everyone who calls in ahead to order, as well as those who visit the restaurant for the dine in experience. Not to sound redundant, but she truly knows what she's doing! On the few occasions that I've gone into the restaurant/bar at night, to watch a game of football, or basketball, I love being served by Rylea! She's very sweet, and she knows how to make a pretty awesome Jameson and coke, so that's a definite plus, for me!

Love this place! Small town feel, great food, even better service company! Drinks are fantastic. We have a great time every time we go. REALLY love the outdoor area for warmer weather. It’s nice to not have to force the kids to sit down when they want to play before or after we eat. Owners family are awesome. We go every chance we get.Kid-friendliness: My favorite part!

Pretzel was still frozen and they replaced it, but then our food came out with it. Jager schnitzel was pretty good, but the Mac cheese was awful. Really disappointed.

The food was amazing, and the staff was very sweet and friendly.

Food is fantastic... chicken fry, fried catfish, jalapeño poppers are some of my favs. The banana pudding is to die for and they always have specialty drinks. It's family friendly and the patio in the summer is fun.
