I am a bit disappointed as my husband and I were both really craving a donair. Despite this, I must say that this place serves the best donairs in Spruce Grove and Edmonton. I highly recommend visiting when it is open.
Tasty donairs! But there are issues. We've been going here for a while. However now they've started false advertising. They say 2 for $12 (regular donairs). I get trying to give less meat, cost control, but they should be listed as small not regular since we come in for regular priced Regular donairs all the time and you can tell there's a difference in the amount of meat. And now you're saying it's between 12-4. Nowhere on your sign, that I can clearly see you have out pointed towards the main road at The moment, does it say anything about having this deal only at a specific time of day. It says limited time only, that means the deal is only valid for so many days and it can be gone at any time. There is no time of day written anywhere and your sign is clearly out trying to get people into your food establishment. When talking to your worker, they did nothing to correct it. As an added note, I was in there with the owner making our donairs. I asked for some extra sauce and he put on an extra drop of sauce, actually the size of a pea and then closed the donair. When I called him on it he said you asked for a little extra and you got it. I thought he was joking since we always have good small talk while he makes our donairs, however he was quite serious and just closed the donair and wrapped it up. Again not a good way to keep customers. If you need me to pay for extra sauce say so, otherwise put on the amount I want and ask me if that's enough. You are taking your customers for granted. Please correct these issues or you will lose a frequent local customer.
Best donairs in Spruce Grove and Edmonton! I love the tzaziki and the wife is a sweet sauce fan. New place looks fantastic. Friendly staff.
After a long wait, J's is finally open in their new location. No pool table but there is sufficient tables and chairs in the front if you don't want to do take out. The restaurant is totally new with new stainless kitchen equipment everywhere. What is nice is the donair's are still tasting the best ever and their sour and sweet tzatziki sauce remain their drawing card. They are presently offering two regular donairs for 10 bucks so you cannot beat that deal. The meat sliced off the donair machine is piled high in the pita and I really enjoy the seasoning and hot flavour. Great selection of toppings also.I found out they had to move since their original location is going to be renovated for more space for the Goodwill Store. So there is plenty of on street parking around the new location and the pricing and food remain of great value. As a reminder to all, they are not open on Sundays. Thank you for remaining in Spruce Grove. We missed you.
Best donairs in Spruce Grove. Not even a contest when you have La Bezt as another option (even more meat). Only issue is they moved but they're not open yet.....and I need a donair! Wife loves the sweet sauce, I'm a tzatziki guy.
