Beso - Staten Island

Been wanting to try this place cos of all the raving reviews ! Turns out, it really is worth the hype. Its beautiful inside. Came during christmas month so it was all decked out in holiday decorations. It was not overwhelming at all. Very simple yet so pretty! Loved their grasshopper drink ! It literally taste like a peppermint shake but the alcohol def hits you after. Ceviche came with these homemade chips that were so flaky! Diablo mussels were amazing, each mussel were chunky and flavorful ! Had their chilean seabass from the special menu and it was so good ! Had a full tummy after that we couldnt fit dessert. Would definitely love to be back to try more items! Very cute spot, perfect for date night, family meals, celebrations, etc !!

Food- 4.5/5 Service- 4.5/5 Ambiance- 4/5 Would def return. Had business on the other side of the world... I mean SI! Lol So it was a Monday night and after legit HOURS of searching for an open not cash only establishment with good food, I happened upon good reviews of this place. The Queso frito had great flavor. I'd like mine just a bit crunchier on the outside. 4/5 The lamb chops were modified to NOT SPICY because I don't do spicy. Cooked perfectly. 4.5 The Beso premium sangria had good taste. Not strong how I like my drinks but perfectly fruity and sangria like. Would recommend! Would def return and try other dishes.

The food is just subpar it 's either too spicy or lacks tremendous flavor which is ironic for it to be a Spanish restaurant. Also some of the food paired together (flavors or ingredients) don 't go well together making the dish weird on the palette. The service here is not good AT ALL. This is the second time that I have visited and happened to get the same waitress LAUREN she is one of the worse employees here. She never asked if we needed anything my husband had to ask the busboy to bring him another soda i literally was sitting with an empty cup trying to eat HOT wings with nothing to drink... everything I needed I had to grab a busboy attention. She constantly walked by us at least 7 times never asked if we needed anything . She finally came by and I asked her for some water and a soda .... she never came back with it I had to go and yet it myself.. she came to buss the table directly next to use(for what because there was definitely enough busboys working) and still didn 't acknowledge us.. I was so annoyed because where I was seated there was a mirror and I could see her eating being the counter and doing everything else except attending to us. I was so turned off and disgusted I had to get up and go to the counter and ask another waiter for my check . I know these places don 't care about bad reviews but something has to give because going out to eat isn 't cheap these days. Blue is a way better restaurant with way better service and way better tasting food. GOOD LUCK

I forgot to review this place until a friend mentioned they were going here for dinner. This place is amazing and the service is great! Each dish was appealing to the eyes but most of all, it was satisfying and full of flavor. We ordered a few dishes but they all complimented each other well. The sangria was a winner. Refreshing and not too much on the sweet side. The ambiance was very relaxing and it is a great place to unwind and enjoy.

I really like this restaurant. The restaurant is very big. I like how it's photo opp ready. I always get the same meals. The lamb is so good. I get the shrimp wrap plantains. The brunch menu is affordable. The drinks are strong strong. I visit here every two months. Lol don't judge me.
