Contribuisci feedbackFantastic food and service! They have some of the best grilled tuna I've ever had and every dish has such a great flavor profile. Staff are friendly and welcoming as well! Highly recommend this place to everyone!
The place looks like any seafood grill restaurant you've been to—monobloc chairs, shaky plastic tables, al fresco dining. Service is a bit slow, and you need to remind the staff twice or thrice to cleanup the table (because, unfortunately, diners here usually leave their mess). Food taste is inconsistent. Tuna pancit is very salty, tuna sisig is too oily and not warm enough to cook the raw egg, and on the other hand the tuna belly is overcooked—the skin is basically burnt like charcoal, the meat dry and tough. Everything on the menu is affordable though. And it looks like the kitchen does not have a proper chimney, only exhaust fans. Since this is an open-air restaurant, smoke still comes drifting into the dining area. You will leave the restaurant smelling like smoked fish. The place is warm and humid too (maybe because of the smoke), despite the presence of electric wall fans. Lastly, it does not have enough parking space to accommodate its guests.
We celebrated my brother’s 27th birthday today at Tuna Republic. I like the food. It tastes really good. The entire staff and crew were amazing. However, they’re not able to give me a receipt. When I asked for it, they said that OR is not yet available and I may just ask for a temporary acknowledgement and they will print the receipt when it’s available weeks after. Ohhhh my....
So many amazing choices how to eat a tuna! Plus there are very good prices!
Foods are great, but the staff do needs improvement.
