The Dam Pub Gastropub - Thornbury

The establishment has street appeal with patio and the building itself. Now, the 855 scotches are interesting. If they’ve missed any, they are very obscure. We had draft and wine with an excellent cheese plate and an order of sweet potato fries that were very tasty. The staff as a whole were great and our server was the best. She even accommodated a couple who just wanted to look over the Scotch menu, even offering water as they read. The Shepard’s pie at the next table looked awesome. Stop in, you’ll love it.

This place was highly recommended to us by our friends and they were right!!’ I’m not much into whisky but the food is awesome, the service is very friendly and prompt and whatever you do, try their key lime pie!!!!!

We called an hour in advance to reserve a table inside, but they were fully booked. However, they were able to accommodate us outside. When we arrived, they were able to switch us inside, and I was able to enjoy my meal without any bugs. The service, from the server to Chef Suzette, was outstanding. The lamb shank, fish and chips, burger, and pasta were all delicious. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant.

Great food. Lovely atmosphere. Very Much like and English country pub. Good on tap beer collection and of course lots of whiskey. Friendly staff too

This is the best pub I have ever visited! The atmosphere, food, and drinks were all amazing. We are from Montreal and have never found a pub as nice as this one. The food is authentic pub fare and absolutely delicious. Scotland would be proud! The only downside is the 18-hour round trip drive, which prevents us from coming back more often. Cheers to future customers!
