Service could be improved, although it is not a fancy restaurant. The sangria's are very good and the prices are medium range.Great family restaurant. Parking is a bit of problem.
The Plasencia family of restaurateurs is well-known in Tijuana for their wide variety of establishments that range from their Guiseppi's chain of pizzerias to Villa Saverios at the high end. In between are Casa Plasencia, Caesar's, Erizo, Praga and Caffe Saverios. What makes Caffe Saverios special is their consistent good quality food and service. This is a mid-range, casual eatery that is popular with families, singles, hipsters and just about everyone else. Menu is primarily Italian. Pizzas can be had with a choice of crust and toppings are varied and tasty. Other dishes of note are their salads, calzones and the fried calamari are among the best in the city (thanks to their special dipping sauce). Parking is limited but there's an inexpensive parking lot on the side street before you get to Caffe Saverios that's safe and convenient. Prices are moderate and a very good deal considering the quality of the food and service.
The restaurant is one of Tj's hot spots. It's usually full on weekends. The food is very good for a small italian inspired place, we usually order the penne alla arabiatta del diablo( it's a spicy pasta dish with calamari) and a calzone. The prices are reasonable and the service is fast and friendly. The only negative is they have a very small parking lot. Enjoy your meal!!
