Steakers - Tromsoe

Very nice place, service was great. I took shrimp and salmon, the latter was amazing!

Known for their amazing steaks, steakers is a family-friendly restaurant with a lot of variation in their menu. In addition to the excellent food, the location and views capture the mood of a North Norwegian restaurant. The service is very good, meals are served relatively quickly and the staff is polite and professional. One of the best and most prestigious restaurants in Tromsø, highly recommended.

Great place to go if you choose a real steak with good choice. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff.

We went here for recommendations in our guide and a 4 review on Google. Long story short: Go to Skarven Biffhuset instead. Same price, but so much better in food quality. Now the details: The bread was served with packed butter. It seems cheap. But the bread was okay. We ordered our food on paper strips where we specified how we like the meat. I rarely ordered a medium and would say that a medium made good when we are generous. It was also a bit dry and the meat quality was far below what we tasted in Skarven Biffhuset. That was meat that cost 40€ for 300g. I expect more. The salad bar (which you have to pay to use) somehow did not look fresh. I snapped into a picture, see below. Upstairs, not complain about the service, but nothing is beyond it. The experience led us not to order coffee and desert because we felt underwhelmed again. If prices were 30% lower, it would be okay, but price: quality ratio is just not worth your money.

It was okay, our waitress was nice, but honest, nothing special. I had a lot better steak in my life. And their steak knives are just useless.
