My personal favorite is the pan rustico, which reminds me of the sourdough I loved in California. This is one of the daily offerings, but there are also special breads baked each day. On hot days, be sure to grab one of the large umbrellas by the entrance and a glass of ice water before standing in line. Conversely, if you're visiting on a chilly winter day, bring a coat or sweater if you arrive early, as the low angle of the sun and the large tree across the street can block the warmth from reaching the sidewalk where the line forms.
Incredible artisan breads! They also offer fantastic daily specials that are only available on specific days.
My husband and I did ample research prior to our Tucson trip, and we were so excited to try this place… and boy did it blow our lofty expectations out of the water! We tried their signature heritage loaf, baguette, and their special mission loaf. Each bread was so unique and told a different story. Easily the best bread we’ve ever had! Go out of your way to come to this place!
Best bread anywhere! But don't tell anyone, or the line will get longer!
This is my favorite artisan bread shop. I also pick up flour, tortillas, and bagels here. My top choices are the Heritage, Spelt, and Red Fife breads. Make sure to arrive early and bring an umbrella, as you’ll likely be waiting in line for some of the best bread in the country—definitely the best in Tucson.
