Wine tasting, however, was not a standard one would expect from a very old and well established cultivator. The white wines were courageous with acidic tones that do not balance the taste for a Chardonnay. The Malbec we tasted was very young, not balanced between the bold, tannic and berry flavor notes. We asked more aged red wines and did not find the winery open even after we offered to pay?
Beautiful place, surrounded by trees and falling leaves, inside in a beautiful greenhouse. We had LOCRO as our main dish, locro is a stew of white big beans, corn, spices, pig belly, sausages in a delightful combination almost like a thick stew, eaten by locals on Revolutionary Day (25MAY) and Independence Day. We had an Atamisque 2018 assamblage that you need to try. Service was great and was very pleased to come back to check the pictures!
Great view, but bad accommodations . The room was pretty dated... I don't know... I didn't expect that. but people are super nice!
I can't praise this beautiful winery enough. A magical place occupied by gifted craftsmen. One of the best winemakers in Argentina, if not the world and yet really humble.
The atmosphere was like if you were in a rural part of France on the side of the road. The meal was great, a three course meal which included a wine serving pairing with each meal. They serve trout which are produced in the farm. The food was great, so was the wine. We even took home some of their very good quality wines at a very affordable price. After lunch we roamed around the farm in our rented car, very pleasant atmosphere, sadly it wasn't the cherry blossom season but passed by several other interesting plantations. Last but not least, the price was very affordable, just 25US$ aprox. for the whole experience
