The Apprentice - Ultimo

Nice atmosphere, there were of us so we got to have one of the set menu of different entrees, mains and desserts. My entree looked fabulous it was betroot and rhubarb. It would have been excellent however too much tartness all round. My...main of trout also presented excellent, however there was a bit too much seafood going on and the overdone spinach did not provide relief from the richness of the trout, in fact some of the sauce from the first dish would have matched it as it needed something sour/tangy to help balance the flavours. Then came dessert i had the liquorice ice cream. Was lovely except it didn’t need the pineapple, but as a liquorice lover I was in luck. Wine list is very good too. All over a nice experience and great value as we got a discount with our younger friend being a student! I would certainly go again. The students do a great job.

Group of had dinner here last night. Various dishes, three course meal and all delicious. Staff and manager very good. Great selection of entre, main course dishes, and deserts. Very reasonable indeed. Well worth a visit. Thanks to all for a lovely night.

A training ground for students of the catering industry. Excellent food at good prices. Also wine at a reasonable price too. Obviously you have to play a part in the training but it's worth exercise. An enjoyable evening and interesting urban views from the seventh...floor.

Asked the family to take me to The Apprentice for my birthday. It is great to support young people training to be chefs and hospitality staff. The food was excellent a fixed menu with for starter main and dessert. I had broccoli soup lamb...rump and choux chantilly with mango and butterscotch. All delicious. We can also recommend the seafood starter and main. It was great to see the young trainee staff learning their trade under the watchful eyes of their teacher The best value for money deal in Sydney but you need to be patient and flexible they are trainees and are learning on the job

This is a student practice restaurant so the stuff is practicing on you. They are so cute and you get three course dinner with quality of proper fine dining restaurant for A bottle of wine is I am going there again today,...it is so good! Make sure you make reservation before coming.
