Contribuisci feedbackI ordered takeout. I loooove Latin soups sopa de Rez, sopa de pollo, sopa de mondongo is what I ordered to go. When I called to order, the woman didn 't understand English. Good sign of authenticity. Also, there was VERY loud music playing in the background so she passed the phone to an English speaker who said, what? Speak up! So I was yelling into the Bluetooth of my car to order. SOPA DE REZ, SOPA DE POLLO, SOPA DE MONDONGO!!! She replied, OKAY! 15 MINUTES! I got there and there were some patrons enjoying the Sunday funday at noon. The broth of each soup was very good although the mondongo broth was the best. However, the meat in the sopa de Rez was fantastic short ribs boiled down to softness. so next time I 'll be getting the sopa de Rez. The hot sauce that comes with it is flavorful and very spicy and I can handle a fair amount of spicy. The mondongo meat was a little tough. The best mondongo I 've ever had was I. Ecuador where the meat was melt in your mouth soft. They take credit card. I 'll be back! Great place!!
This spot is a Gem! Wow the food here is delicious the food always gets to me hot from the stove top. The pupusas are to die for. I love their sopa de Res and their corn elotes omg they melt In your mouth. I order from them often. It makes me feel like I'm back in Central America. If you're in the area try their food you will not be disappointed. They deliver quick and their delivery person is so nice and kind.
If you’re like me and love Baleadas (a flour tortilla filled with eggs, sour cream, beans, cheese and meat than this is a good spot to explore. The Baleadas are a decent size and the price is really good (3.50$ , they will fill you up and the taster is great!! I also ordered 2 pupusas (thick tortilla filled with your choice of cheese, pork, beans and cheese they tasted average and didn’t really stand out to me. But like I said for the price, you can’t really beat this spot. My total came to 11.25$ and I ended up taking one of the pupusas home because I was stuffed. As far as customer service, I chose to sit at the bar for faster service. They were sort of busy so I didn’t get approached, I had to ask someone to please take my order. I took a bit away from the experience but I understand because I have served tables before and I know how crazy it can get. When paying, the have a minimum of 10$ for credit/debit cards. Over all my experience here was good! If you’re in the neighborhood and in the mood for a hearty meal give this place a try, you might really like it.
Six of us out doing field work from Manhattan found this spot along Bergenline Avenue. What a treat! The best food I've ever had? Maybe not, but really quite delicious nonetheless! The staff were very patient and accommodating even though they spoke very little english, and only one of our group spoke spanish. I tried my hand at a few phrases and probably destroyed the language, but our server took pity on me.I had scrambled eggs with onion and tomato, a side of refried beans, sweet plantains, sour creama, and a little block of queso fresco. I squeezed some lime and spicy relish on my eggs and altogether the food was delicious, if not a bit heavy. The steaks and chicken ordered by my colleagues smelled delicious and looked thin, tender, and just a bit caramelized.Muchos Gracias!
Very fun and creative caravans...nice people and music
