Serenade Palace Chinese Restaurant

Quick and friendly service, but very average dim sum.

I normally come here for yum cha on weekends and have found it to be quite good.

We were there last Sunday for yum chaThere were 3 of us Service was very poor.

We have been here well over a dozen times or more after seeing a movie... so I was surprised to see a number of poor reviews on here, as we have always found the meals to be good - tasty and fresh and of a good size. We've dined as a couple and as a group of six and always been happy with the food. We've also been to the Sunday morning Dim Sum which was very good too... Prices are what you would expect to pay.

Food was disgusting. We had the banquet for two. The chicken and corn soup was just like a bowl of yellow jelly, absolutely tasteless with a few grey pebbles of what was suppose to be chicken. My dog wouldn't eat it!! The fried rice had a terrible burnt flavour and once again, unidentifiable bits in it. The service was slack, drinks warm, and offered Chinese tea which was never served. As for desert, they may as well not even have bothered....a teaspoon of tinned fruit and a scoop of very cheap ice cream. On top of that there was a surcharge for public holiday. Biggest rip off. The restaurant looks very tired and dirty.Just DON'T go!!
