Contribuisci feedbackI went with high expectations as per reviews and feedback from folks who had been there and were ravishing about the chaats available at this cool place. The only reason it carries a single star is because of the interior very nicely done. The service was really poor with an unbelievable wait for golgappas that made me wonder if the Chef had personally driven over to the nearby Indian grocery store to pick up some raw materials! The state of the bathrooms (yes, even theladies) was horrible with paper towel strewn all over. Later I followed up with someone who confirmed they had encountered the same on their prior visit. With such a pricey menu for a substandard taste (compared to local Indian offerings inDC and Northern Virginia), I wonder why they can't invest in a janitorial service for cleaning up the restroom. The floors were littered with food and I had to request them to clean it up. The avacado golgappas were spicy even at mild anddidn't help us experience the taste of avacados in them just being overpowered by the spices. The dahi batata puri was tasteless on the other hand while the pav Bhaji tasted like uncooked masalas added in a hurry. I thought I might be toocritical in calling the masala chai as watery, but it became clear that the whole place was just a marketing gimmick when my 7 year old expert mango lassi taster (starting at 6 months of age when he first tasted this dish in any Indianrestaurant and has always ordered one everywhere available) said this was not even worth taking home. I will add appetizing pictures to assure you that the presentation is very appealing, but then it definitely brings the proverbial sayingon being deceived by the eyes to life. Avoid.
One visit is not enough! There are so many awesome options in the menu! We had the most amazing brunch! Will definitely visit this place again.
Wonderful expedition in dining. It's in a great location on the way to/from the zoo. Flavored are amazing and the wait staff was great.
If you like Prosecco and spicy things, like jalepeno, then try the Green Envy! It was delicious.
What a delicious and fun place! 5 of us went to brunch and tried just about everything on the menu. From the amazing chef of Rasika, Vikram Sunderam. a new tapas-style restaurant. The food is less formal but no less wonderful than at the flagship.
