Mary's Diner - Waterbury

I would not recommend coming to this restaurant during busy times. The place is too crowded and the staff are rushing around. I waited for over 8 minutes for a coffee refill, and when I asked other staff for help, they did not assist me. I understand that they are busy, but if a waitress is ignoring my table, they should hire more staff. My son's order was also incorrect, and when I asked the waitress to exchange it, it took her a while and my 5-year-old could not wait. I had to ask for water three times before finally receiving a cup. The prices for the food are quite high; I paid $15 for a breakfast burrito that only had eggs, cheese, and onions – nothing special. The atmosphere was overwhelming.

The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, the staff was welcoming, and the restaurant was very clean.

We’ve been going to Mary’s for years and it never disappoints. Prices are fair the best part is the atmosphere that the staff hasn’t even turned over in the last 8-10 years. Our favorite weekend breakfast spot.

Server was rude, unpleasant and not friendly at all. Surprised they work in customer service. They forgot a few things we politely asked for as well. If I was the owner I would not want them representing my business.

This is a classic breakfast and lunch diner that offers all the comforts, delicious food, and a clean environment. It can be difficult to find a place that serves grits, but this spot has them.
