However, either they or the kitchen lost our order, and we ended up waiting 1.5 hours for our food. The couple at the table next to us came in after we ordered, got their food, ate, and left the restaurant before we even got our food. When we asked if we could receive a discount due to the very long wait time, the staff member 's response was well it 's been a busy night, everyone had to wait a long time . When we asserted that we had waited an unacceptably long time due to our order being lost, they reluctantly gave us a 10% discount. I found this experience disappointing and despite the good quality of the food, won 't be returning for dine-in.
Great home-y Korean food. Love the Korean fried chicken, very tender and juicy. Friendly service although can be slow, as it is almost like a family dining experience.
My new favourite restaurant!! The food is always so good every time I come and the portions are large as well, the staff here r so nice as well. Shoutout to Danny and Dog for always giving the best service and
Had an awesome time at this restaurant tonight for dinner. The food as always is impeccable so flavourful. I especially recommend the garlic soy fried chicken. Super crispy tender, not a single piece over cooked or dry. I’ve been going here for years the food never disappoints. The owners really care about their employees their customers. I’m always treated so nice here. My waiter tonight was especially awesome! He was so friendly, attentive made our experience that much better! Great customer service. Definitely will recommend this restaurant to all my friends.Sidenote: the owner has one heck of a green thumb. I always love admiring her beautiful plants when I visit. ?
There 's a saying in Korean that translates to, 1 meal can be equivalent to 3 meals. I understoof exactly what that saying meant when I visited the newly opened Onnuri in Waterloo 140 University Ave W #6B, Waterloo, ON N2L 6J3). With generous portions fit for us to dine like kings, this bright eatery was the perfect spot to satisfy our Korean-food cravings!Hoping for a filling lunch, we ordered the champong and the bibimbob. With its abundant assortment of vegetables, eggs, and perfectly balanced ingredients, the bibimbob offered the opportunity to customize the spice level by adding as much gochujang and kimchi as our taste buds needed, making for a delicious, wholesome meal. However, the true star of the show was the champong! A worthwhile choice, considering the portion size and the cost $15), the dish featured a robust and flavorful broth that infused the noodles and an assortment of seafood, including squid, shrimp, and mussels, creating a delightful symphony of flavors! Lunch truly could not get better than this! With noodles, hotpot, soups, stews, and so many other options, Onnuri 's new location in Waterloo is sure to be a delight for university students craving Korean food ahead of their midterms. Be sure to check them out if you 're close to the University Shops Plaza! Highly recommended! To hear about this review, follow us @eatinontario on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
