Great bread!! By far thee best tres leches around. Let's not even talk about their tamales OMG!! It reminds me of my grandmas tamales back at home (Mexico).
This review is purely for the coffee. My brother and I got two small cups of coffee for only $3. There were no menus, we don't speak much Spanish, and the person working the counter didn't speak much English. However we saw her load up coffee into a press machine, asked us if we wanted milk and sugar. And it ended up being one of the tastiest cups of coffee I've had during my stay in Jersey, and who can beat that price? Coffee was rich, bold, and smooth and not overly sweet. Highly suggest this place for a quick pick me up!
First time here. Only got a coffee, thinking it was just gonna be typical. Turns out, it 's maybe some of the best coffee I 've had. If I had to pick a winner for Best Coffee in Union City , it would be this, and Terry 's Coffee Shop. Both make really good coffee and for about $2.50. What makes Balleza good.. the beans taste like they 're a good quality French roast (I think, maybe Italian roast). And the milk is heated very well without being frothy. The result is coffee that tastes smokey and sweet even without sugar. It 's the mark of a good barista.
