Silver Sushi - Willetton

We hadn't dined in at Silver Sushi for several months and decided to have dinner there recently. We ordered a Teppanyaki Chicken , a Teppanyaki Salmon and a Prawn Tempura Udon. The teppanyaki dishes came out a bit over cook as the meat were tough. Flavours are similar however they were bulked up with a lot of onion. It felt like Chinese style cooking. The prawn tempura udon dish still tasted good with the exception that Udon size had reduced significantly and came with 3 prawns only. Service was excellent as usual. The restaurant was pack as usual. The staff were great. Just disappointed with the food quality. I believe they may have lost their previous chef.

We Sunday lunch here after our C Vaccinationboooster. The queue was long but the wait was worth it. We had the rolls with soft shell crab and fried large prawns. The beef curry was sweetish and hearty. The salmon poke bowl with truffle was very tasty with lemoney zing. We had the mixed sushi platter which was refreshing. The nanban chicken had a rich eggy mayonnaise that sealed the hunger pangs. The steakdon had a charbroil Aussie outback flavour in a bowl. Service was fast and servings were large. Everyone came in famished but left the restaurant stuffed to the gills.

The staffs never put our name on the list for a table and told us to wait for 40mins. After 40mins we were told that our name isn’t on the list and we should wait another 40mins and continued to say that “I have never seen you before” even though we’ve been waiting for 40mins outside and never care to ask us what we are doing outside.

It was crowded and we did not call prior. nonetheless, was seated within 10mins. both the crunch roll and curry katsu rice were delicious and generous quantity. authentic Japanese food at reasonable prices in heart of Willetton. good service.

We decided to give this place a try for Sunday lunch. We arrived and the place was pumping. As we didn't have a booking, the waitress took our name and number and said we would have a 15 min wait. She called us exactly 15mins later to say our table was ready. We ordered the chicken katsu bento, assorted sashimi bento and the nixed tempura bento. OMG it was so delicious and good sized serves! Very impressed with both the service and the quality of the food. Will come back again.
