Offer to go to her purse for my trouble and get my change after I inquired.I said skimming because that is what this bar does.If the bartender wants to keep the change she has skimmed then she has tipped herself and a larger tip is not expected.Stop skimming change Cole Creek Bar Grill. Service was terrible, and unless you like liquid eggs don't order
Walked into dining area of hotel, not exactly a Grille and bar, just a typical HolIday Inn dining room. One person eating,no staff in sight, waited a few minutes and no one appeared. This was not my idea of an Mericzn Grille and Bar,more like a down market dining room, with no staff on hand to greet you. So we turned around and briskly walked out. No Thankyou.
Cole Creek Bar and Grill is the bar and restaurant off the front desk and lobby of the Holiday Inn East in Casper. At night, the bar and restaurant opens officially at 5 pm for drinks and food but the bartender was serving drinks before 5 pm. The menu is extensive with something for everyone. Prices were fair. However, the food or at least what I ordered was mediocre at best. The caesar salad was large but the parmesan cheese was barely there, the dressing wasn't tossed in the salad, and the chicken breast were cold like they had been sitting in the refrigerator. They weren't even microwaved. Honestly, you could have gotten a fresher salad with hot grilled chicken at the Wendy's about 5 minutes away. To be fair, other customers seemed to be enjoying their burgers. I assume the burger is good. The bartender was by herself and working hard as there were about 15 customers. She provided great service. Drinks were definitely better than the food. They have all the usual beers and spirits. For wine, the only drinkable whites were the Matua sauvignon blanc and the Chateau Ste. Michelle chardonnay. Both were available by the glass. $8.50 for a glass of Chateau Ste. Michelle is fair. The other wines on offer included Canyon Road, Andre, Barefoot, and Beringer. At breakfast, there's no buffet. Everything is ala carte off a menu that's pretty typical for anyone who has ever stayed at a Holiday Inn. My rate included a breakfast voucher that covered almost anything on the menu. The two eggs I ordered were perfectly cooked. Then again, it's pretty hard to screw up eggs unless they're powdered. My only complaint at breakfast is there was one waitress. I counted 12 customers between 6 am and 7 am. It took about 20 minutes to get a single cup of coffee. No carafe was left on the table. So you had to wait on the overworked waitress for a refill. I saw some customers go to the lobby for the free coffee because they were tired of waiting. All things considered, this is a good hotel bar that is more of a breakfast restaurant. There are much better restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The only reason to eat here is you're traveling for work, work is paying and you just want a burger.
