The Block - York

Tasty pizza slabs, but could have done with some dips!

The Block is a great spot for pizza, we popped in for a quick bite and a pint with not much time to spare. You can select which pizzas you want varying from £4-5 and they do you a large rectangular slice cut into 2 (we shared). As a recommendation, it's the perfect spot for a quick bite before doing something else for the evening. Staff were friendly, pizza was nice and they had good music on and a good selection of drinks, including brooklyn lager on draught!

I came here for a pint and a slice and both were brilliant! The pizza slice is actually pretty big so it was filling and super delicious. I could have eaten just the one and been content, but it was so nice I ended up ordering another. I was very full but it was worth it! Super tasty dough and nice and cheesy. They do have vegan slices but once we'd arrived they'd sold out, so I'd say get there earlier to avoid missing out on your fave pizza.

The pizza here was so delicious, I wasn't sure what I wanted to get at first and I'm not sure what I did order but it was so good! I also really enjoyed the music they had playing, it was such a good vibe! I went as it was reccomended to me but I'd definitely advise other people go if you're looking for a quick bite to eat in the city centre!

Great to find a place that does ace pizza and by the slice, they could even accommodate my girlfriend who has allergies. Really lovely staff, had a good chat with them n very friendly. Good atmosphere, good selection of flavours, I'd be happy sitting in there all day working my way through the menu.
