We stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant while exploring the area in search of a place to eat. Everything on the menu was homemade, with incredibly fresh ingredients, and it was all so delicious. The staff were exceptionally friendly, making the experience even better. I can't recommend this place enough! It's quite a trek from Newcastle, but I think a return visit is definitely in order just to dine here again. I absolutely loved it!

I am currently researching a job at a university, so my son William and I decided to visit the restaurant. It was fantastic! The batter on the fish was incredibly light. Often, fish can be coated in a greasy, heavy batter, but this was absolutely delicious. The caretaker, Roy, was extremely friendly and answered all my questions. Whether for research or not, I will definitely be back for more!

Very friendly and friendly staff that offers a great service; it is clean and fresh. the food was good. we had a starter, a cocktail in sweet chilli sauce that was delicious. then followed the main amount of cable N chips, which was also rather yummy. my only critic should be; the dough on the fish was too fat for my lust.

Two course fish chips meal for 2 people on a Groupon deal for £17.95 including tea and bread and butter. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Great experience from start to finish.
