Shopsy's - York

I ordered the roast beef sandwich on an onion bun with a side of fries. The roast beef was not as juicy as Katz's, but the fries were better than McDonald's.

I had a strong craving for a smoked meat sandwich and this place did not disappoint. The sandwich was delicious and could easily compete with the deli places in the Greater Toronto Area.

I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday during lunchtime. There were not many customers, so the service was excellent. The restaurant is spacious and has an open layout.

The place needs a major face lift. The servers seem to have no personality at all The food is average and very expensive for what your getting.. Unfortunately I cannot say anything positive on my first and last experience here..

Food was tasty, ambience old, but ok, service simple but good. portions were VERY SMALL!!! We had a smoked meat and a corned beef sandwich. Both were very tasty and the fries were excellent. The amount of meat was more like an appetizer than lunch??!!
