J. Macklin's Grill - Coppell

Live music. Awesome crowd. Definitely a place to be on a Friday evening with family for some good food. Patio dining is a plus.

I thought this place was pretty good. They have a very American menu with classics like chicken fried steak to burgers to meatloaf. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which I thought was fine, but not really hot . My friends had the chickenfried steak which was as expected and a large portion, and the steak and fries which was quite good. We went on a Wednesdaywhere they had half priced bottle wines for happy hour which seemed like a pretty good deal.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere; it is clean, quiet, and cozy. The server was friendly and the lunch service was very quick. The meals were hot and well-prepared. I will definitely be returning.

The cauliflower appetizer at this restaurant is fantastic. It is probably the best crispy cauliflower I have had in a while. The tacos were also good. The bread pudding was just okay. The service was a bit slow, but not terrible. Overall, it's a good restaurant.

First of all, Allison is amazing! She has been my favorite server at this restaurant for years. She always gives great recommendations and provides excellent service. Two appetizers that I absolutely love are the brisket nachos and crispy cauliflower. They are completely delicious. The BBQ sauce on the nachos goes perfectly with the cheese, and the brisket is hearty and flavorful. It's a crowd pleaser for sure. For my main course, I usually choose between the salmon and the chicken and waffles. I prefer the Nashville hot chicken version for a soulfully satisfying meal.
