This restaurant opens early in the morning, attracting a crowd of tradespeople. Everyone leaves with a smile on their face after enjoying their coffee and breakfast, all before 7:00 am.
I was in a rush, so I was looking for quick service and I received my order of three potato cakes for $2 right away. To top it off, there were plenty of seats in the sun, so I will definitely keep this place in mind for the future. The food was also fresh and crunchy.
You can pick up and collect your order; Taxi drivers and workers use it. Great sandwiches and very good coffee. In the heart of the city near the docks behind the town hall; also open late at night, but can be... very rough and visited by Bikies at night. They probably won't bother you. So drive in and pick up your snack and go!
This place was not on my list for testing all the coffee joints in the Hobart CBD that serve early in the morning, but it should have been. Dropped in this morning to enjoy a delicious, properly made cappuccino that was right on the money....At $3.80 on a par with other more pretentious establishments in town whose coffee is no better than what Budgie Smugglers make. All the burgers on the menu board were under $10, which must be unique in Hobart. The breakfast toasties were also in paper, not cling wrap. All positive signs for those wishing to dine on a budgie... I mean budget :
