The interior is outdated and filled with dark wood, accompanied by a cringeworthy and loud music selection. Despite these drawbacks, the food is exceptional. The menu offers traditional pub fare like Parmis, but the dishes are prepared with care and attention. The salads are generous in portion size and my chicken salad was particularly delicious with a tangy vinaigrette. My companion enjoyed a thick and juicy steak with a peppery sauce. The only downside is that, considering the establishment's name, there is a surprisingly limited selection of seafood on the menu. Overall, the food at this restaurant earns it a high rating despite its shortcomings in decor and ambiance.
This restaurant does not deserve any stars. The bar staff were rude, the toilets were disgusting, and when I ordered rare steaks, I received well-done ones. The chef came out of the kitchen to the bar, looking red, sweaty, and angry. I didn't bother complaining because the place is a dive. It's a real shame because the venue itself has a lot of character. It desperately needs a thorough cleaning - it's surprising that the health department hasn't paid them a visit.
Consistency excelled. my fourth visit in 2 trips to tasmania. bar, staff and kitchen staff are all waiting well over expectations. that was and was excellent and a very warm welcoming atmosphere. we will come back at our next visit.
