The Pickled Frog Restaurant - Hobart

I am glad I stumbled on this precious stone of a hostel. I had originally booked in another hostel only on the street, but it had no atmosphere, so I thought I would see if it was a better option around. just a block I found the pickled frog. I was greeted by a beautiful girl called jack. I felt so welcome and home that I decided to cancel my other booking and move the road down. there is a great bar where you can sit and drink local beer and chat with other guests and employees. everyone was so covered and friendly that it really feels like a home. the rooms are comfortable, the facilities are clean and the common area is super social with the additional bonus of a pool table. the manager was a really nice guy with a pretty cool head of a hair and the other worker josh was a real champion. they all made it such a great experience! thank you young, I'm here again!

One of my favorite hostels. good mood, they just feel quite at home in the cozy living room. they have parking, laundry, a small bar and so on. the rooms are clean and in good condition. the staff is friendly and the location is also good. I recommend this hostel and would come again and again!

Excellent hostel. the rooms can be small and somewhat tight with the bunk beds, but this is the standard in any hostel. great social areas to get complete with a television that always rolls a movie, and a pool table (1$ a game). there can not be space in the refrigerator to keep food they take, but that by the side, the pickled frog is a victor.

Great return hostel. wonderful staff. filz welcome and comfortable. easy to meet other travelers. they offer daily extras and a hint board of the dinge around hobart and tours, was very helpful. very cool building. I think some upgrades to beds/room for luggage/stencils in girls bad would make the hostel more functional for any traveling and an even better hostel experience. Thank you.

Stay here! It’s so perfect in many ways, relaxing, spacious, lively if you want it to be, clean, a real rustic traveller feel and comfortable beds to rest properly! I stayed two nights at the start and end of my 5 day trip It’s a lovely experience from start to finish! The staff are so welcoming and helpful. I’d give it 10* if I could! Thanks again, I’ll always be recommending to any fellow travellers.
