We had the five-course menu with the addition of savory fish. Beautiful backyard with various herbal plants as a natural decoration for the eyes and soul. Ideal for summer evenings sitting outside and chilling. The food was good for eyes, for palates and for the soul. The condition was friendly, but not intrusive. The Riesling of Pfalz was also very good, tastefully comparable to the Riesling from Rheingau. For white wine drinkers was a pleasure. The ambience was romatic, simple and beautiful. A beautiful summer evening I spent here and Geiger Salber is a hiking tip for all palate friends and deserves 5 stars from me....

A great little restaurant in an old house, full of atmosphere, that offers a warm welcome and great food.Geiger & Salber has a 4 course menu that changes every month, and a limited number of à la carte dishes. The menu comes in three versions: vegetarian, with fish, with meat. And for what you get, it seems very reasonably priced, even cheap.Because we had a late night dinner, we took à la carte dishes. After a great appetizer on the house (carpaccio of marinated radish) we had an excellent, perfectly seasoned carpaccio, and a surprising but terrific risotto with pesto and an emulsion of red beet as starters. Next, the beef of our roulade was just a bit too dry and the gravy a bit too thick, maybe because of the late hour. But it tasted great and the large selection of vegetables and roast potatoes that came with it were perfect. We made a reservation for 10.30pm (no problem) and called around that time to say we would be even later (no problem). The place was totally empty when we arrived and the staff must have been longing to go home, yet we received the most warm and courteous welcome imaginable. I'm definitely returning.
