Came out with a buttered toasted sub bun, philly steak In thin bite sized strips, chopped carmalised onions, green pepper, mushrooms and just enough melted swiss cheese flavoring all of it.. enjoying a meal with my Mom in a chill out environment was a much need brake from all the public drama these days. We stayed at the little hotel across the street that didn't serve a breakfast so we came over to Crossing Point. First impression was that it was clean! Ordered an omelet and hot chocolate, husband got country fried steak. Delicious! All of it was so yummy. And large portions too. Very impressed! Wish it was closer to where we live so we could go there more often. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
When we walked in there were not any clean tables. We sat at one assuming that someone would be around to clean it when they had time. That did not happen. We were offered napkins to wipe it off ourselves. When the food came out it was cold. We also had no silverware, and when we asked for it we were told they didn’t have clean silverware. I sent my mashed potatoes back because they were ice cold. They microwaved them and sent them back to me. I asked for A1 sauce and did not receive any. We also did not receive any refills or offers of refills on our drinks. When we mentioned to the waitress that the experiance was not good, food was cold, ECT she reported it to the owner, as she should. The owner came to the table, made a scene, would not accept any kind of feedback, and asked us to leave. We were not rude when talking to the waitress or owner, however, we do expect warm food that we are coming to pay for, and silverware to eat that food with. I've heard this place was the place to go at one point. There are not many restaurants in the area, so I think it still has the potential to be a great place. Feedback on service and food is a great way to train, and improve your business. If taken as an insult, things typically do not improve. Being short staffed is a problem at every establishment you walk in to these days. However, trash talking your staff in front of customers, and trash talking your customers in front of other customers is not a great way to handle the stress that every business is going through right now.
