Blue Marlin - San Benito

I don’t have many suggestions, but I really enjoyed my lunch. The server was very attentive. Since I have dietary restrictions due to my health, it would be great to have more options available.

This is a great Reaturant!!! Food was out in less than 5 mins. The fish and shrimp explode with flavor. I highly recommend you visit. Try the full order of fried shrimp with a side fried fish . A+ customer service. great! Great. Great.

The Blue Marlin has an authentic Mexican feeling to the restaurant. I think we got lucky and were able to find ourselves with live music by this one man. If you ever come here and see him playing his guitar, tip him. He deserves it. I tried the Pescado Cancun which was out of this world good. The only problem I could come across is how dirty the outside was as we found trash in a lot of the outside area. In my opinion, a clean place says a lot about a restaurant and I was not impressed by the cleanliness of the establishment. Mostly grilled fish, large drinks and good prices. 3/5

I used to really enjoy this restaurant, but not anymore. The food was mediocre. I ordered the fried shrimp, and it wasn't what I anticipated. The shrimp was soft and seemed to have some kind of seasoning rather than being properly fried. The fries were the cheap, shoestring variety, and the salad was wilted. My husband got the fish soup, which looked like leftover fish bits in colored water. I would give this place a definite thumbs down!

I was taken aback by the numerous negative reviews for this place. We dined here tonight and found it to be quite charming, with attentive staff. It's definitely a cozy, down-to-earth joint, which adds to its appeal. All four of us at the table ordered the full shrimp plate, and it was simply amazing. There was more than enough for me, even with my 300-pound frame! The shrimp were lightly battered, butterflied, tail removed, and freshly caught, deep-fried jumbo shrimp. They were absolutely delicious—possibly the best I've ever tasted! But the highlight was definitely the value; we only paid $52 for four adults and a kid's shrimp plate. I'm not sure what I enjoyed more: the fantastic food or the great price—though I have to say, it was definitely the food!
