Louie is a total character and offered to have the chef make us anything we wanted. The pie is heavenly. Every time I asked the family whether we should try a new restaurant on our ten day vacation, they looked at me like I was crazy.
The food was excellent, waitress the very best but kitchen staff very slow. We had seafood platters which were very good, clams and haddock could not have been fresher.
We got rained out on the way to Louisbourg Fortress and found this place to grab a bite. It's nothing impressive to look at but has decent prices and the food was good. The spaghetti had a home cooked-feel.
We stopped on Father's Day, unfortunately, and seemed to hit a busy lunchtime. We waited 45 minutes for our two burgers. It wasn't a complicated order. The Home fries seemed to be an excuse for unpeeled and a little greasy fries. Maybe it was being very busy that day - who knows? We won't go back to find out.
Seven of us dropped in for a guy Saturday morning breakfast. The waitress Amanda looked to be the only person waiting on the tables. She promptly served us tea and coffee and then took our orders. The food was served shortly afterwards all seven of us at the same time. The breakfast was very good cooked exactly how we had ordered. Congratulations Amanda and the cook. I'll be back.
