The Dam - Crescent Valley

The Dam Restaurant and Frog Peak are the top places in the area for dining. The atmosphere is good and the food is great. I highly recommend trying out their takeout service, it's perfect for enjoying with your family.

We have enjoyed some tasty dishes at the Dam Inn, but unfortunately, the last four times we have ordered pizza, the crust has been extremely burnt. Despite it being our only nearby takeout option, we will not be ordering from there again.

This place is a little gem right off the road. The food and service were terrific! So glad we stopped in. I highly recommend the Tai stir fry and the chicken burger both delicious.

This is a pleasant, local, small community pub. Families/kids are welcomed until around 8 or 9 pm in the upper portion. Food is pub-like, nothing to die for but it is tasty and close to home (or a nice stop between Nelson and Castlegar). Check FB or their road sign as there is live music at various times. We have enjoyed the Sunday afternoon drop in musicians. The Dam is an important and special part of South Slocan area.

I recently stopped in for lunch on my way to Nelson. Despite passing by this restaurant many times without stopping, I finally decided to give it a try after hearing some great reviews. The layout of the restaurant was unique, with plenty of seating and a bar area. I sat at the bar and was warmly greeted by a very enthusiastic young bartender who provided detailed information about some of the dishes on the menu. I opted for the special, which was a roasted pulled chicken sandwich with onion rings on a hoagie bun, paired with a tossed salad. The sandwich was delicious and the house dressing, a berry vinaigrette, was excellent. The staff and food were both fantastic, and I definitely plan on returning in the future.
